Thunder in the Glens, Loch Dhu and Beinn Dubh Drams Tasting Session

I've been quite hesitant to taste these darker than soya sauce #whisky šŸŒš Courtesy is Darren to allow me to taste these drams.

You gotta taste the not so good ones to appreciate better drams ā˜ŗļø

I really don't know how to have a personal rating on these...

Let's discuss your worst experience in tasting whisky šŸ˜…šŸ¤®

1. Speyside, @beinndubhwhisky Thunder in the Glens by Speyside Distillery, 20 Year Anniversary Edition, ABV 43%

Nose: Old skool Tit Tar medication šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«, there's some sweet sherry like smell though, old wood, candy like sweet

Palate: bland bitterness, not much taste , find it weird , maybe the tit tar thought in mind šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

Finish: little to no finish , some weird lingering taste somewhat felt it's the tit tar smell šŸ¤¢

2. Vatted by Darren (Cu Dhub + Beinn Dubh + Loch Dhu + Arran Sherry Cask 55.8%)

Nose: thick herbal like drink, I thought I smell some smoke

Palate: again another bland whisky with a slight hint of smoke

Finish: just some light smoke lingering

3. Loch Dhu 10 Year Old The Black Whisky by Mannochmore, ABV 40%

Nose: nice sherry/Honeyed kind of sweetness , after airing some time it turns more herbal

Taste: the taste doesn't match the nose , bland taste with some bitter herbal like at the background

Finish: short till none, however I felt Abit of the tit tar lingering

Overall i thought my not so good dram would be Loch Dhu, but palate wise, Beinn Dubh is the hardest for me. but, if given chance i might not taste them again.šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

Thank you @darrenhja for the opportunity to taste all these 3 drams, makes me appreciate other drams a lot better šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£
