Port Ellen 1977 14YO Gordon & MacPhail

This is really something. So delicate and complex. Feels like I missed out a lot of the details and sorta wasted this precious dram, yet I truly enjoyed every moment with it.

Nose: Ripe yellow fruit in a hot tropical fruit market. Mellow pineapple. Then gasoline, hint of smoke, raisin, gentle peat, freshly cut grass, sweaty leathery, yeasty.

Palate: Syrup like sweetness, silky texture, peppery, grapefruit peel, peaty, oregano.

Aftertaste: Delicate, gentle sweetness lingers, banana like, oregano.

Cheers!
